I started Iron Pine after realizing the marketing industry was selling contractors a fantasy. Pretty agency websites, fancy decks, expensive retainers — and no actual answer to the question: does this make me money?
So I did it the other way around. I built a real home service business first — Premier Gutters KC, a seamless gutter installer in the Kansas City metro. I marketed it myself, with the exact playbooks I now sell. I screwed up. I learned what actually moves the needle. I documented what worked.
