Transparency · Cancel anytime

Cancel anytime. Keep everything. No hidden fees.

Most agencies hide their cancellation terms in 14-point legalese. Ours is on a public page. 30 days notice, full asset migration in 7 business days, no surprise charges. If we're not earning the relationship, you should be able to leave without a fight.

What you keep

Everything we built is yours.

You paid for it. You own it. Period. There's no clause that says we keep anything "proprietary" or "exclusive to Iron Pine" — that's an agency manipulation tactic we won't use.

  • Your Google Business Profile (ownership transferred to you, if not already)
  • Your website code (full repository handed over, with deployment instructions)
  • Your domain (DNS access transferred back if we managed it)
  • All schema markup deployed on your site
  • Every city/service-area page we wrote
  • Every blog post, insights article, and FAQ we created
  • Your Google Ads account (ownership transferred, with conversion tracking intact)
  • Your GA4 property and Search Console verification
  • Your CRM integrations and email automation flows
  • All citation submissions and review-acquisition automations
  • Your monthly performance reports (all of them, exported to PDF + raw data)
  • Brand assets, design files, and any photos we commissioned
What we don't do

The agency tactics we refuse to use.

Most contractor agencies make leaving expensive on purpose. Hostage assets, surprise exit fees, "data portability" charges. Those tactics are why contractors hate agencies. We don't do any of them.

  • Charge final 'transition fees' or 'offboarding fees'
  • Hold your GBP, ad accounts, or site as leverage to keep you subscribed
  • Delete your work after cancellation
  • Require formal exit interviews or sign-off meetings
  • Add you to 'do-not-rehire' lists if you cancel — we're glad to take you back later if it makes sense
  • Lock you into 12-month commitments (90 days is our maximum initial term)
  • Slow-walk the asset handover to make cancellation painful
Timeline · Day 0 to Day 30

Here's exactly what happens after you send notice.

Day 0

You send notice

Email or text. No formal form to fill out, no 'reason for cancellation' required. We acknowledge within 4 business hours.

Day 1-2

Handover plan sent

We email a single-page handover doc: every account, every credential, every asset, and the order we'll transfer them. You confirm what you want.

Day 3-7

Asset migration

We transfer ownership of GBP, ad accounts, domain, hosting, analytics, and any third-party tools. We hand over code repos and brand files via secure transfer.

Day 30

Final billing cycle ends

Your last invoice covers the 30 days since your notice. No surprises, no prorated games, no surprise charges after.

Offboarding FAQ

The honest version of every cancellation question.

What if I cancel during the first 90 days?

Honor the 90-day commitment by paying for the remaining months. We don't refund work already shipped, but you still keep all of it. After 90 days, normal 30-day notice applies with no penalty.

What if you fire ME?

Same terms in reverse. We give 30 days written notice, complete the handover, and bill our final month. The only exception is for severe cause (asking for fake reviews, abusive behavior, 60+ days past due) — we may exit immediately and bill through the date of exit.

What if I want to come back after canceling?

We're happy to take you back if scope and timing align. Pricing reverts to whatever's current at the time. Charter clients keep their lifetime discount only if their subscription was continuous; cancel and re-sub means the standard rate applies.

Will you bad-mouth us to other agencies after we cancel?

No. We don't run a 'do-not-work-with' grapevine. The contractor world is small — burning bridges helps nobody. We talk about wins publicly and keep losses private.

Do you offer prorated refunds?

No. We bill monthly in advance. If you cancel mid-month, your service continues through the end of that billing period — no proration, no refund. This keeps the math simple for both of us.

Confidence to start = confidence to leave if it doesn't work.
