FAQPage Schema
A type of schema markup that tells search engines a page contains a list of frequently asked questions and their answers.
FAQPage schema (formally FAQPage in Schema.org vocabulary) is structured data that explicitly marks a page's FAQ section for search engines. When deployed, FAQPage schema can produce expandable FAQ rich snippets in Google results and is heavily favored by AI engines for citation. Each FAQ becomes a citation-ready answer to a specific buyer query.
FAQPage schema is one of the highest-ROI schema types for contractors. It enables rich snippets, captures voice-search queries, and drives AI citations.
A contractor page with FAQPage schema for 'How much does roof replacement cost in Kansas City?' is highly likely to be cited by ChatGPT for that exact query.

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
The practice of structuring content so that AI engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google's AI Overviews cite or recommend your business by name.
Rich Snippets (Rich Results)
Enhanced search result listings showing additional information — star ratings, FAQs, prices, images — beyond the standard title and meta description.
