Speakable Schema
A schema markup type that explicitly marks content as readable by voice assistants.
Speakable schema (SpeakableSpecification in Schema.org) marks specific parts of a page as appropriate for voice-assistant readback. Voice engines use this to determine what to read aloud when summarizing a page. For contractor sites, marking the direct-answer paragraph and key headings as speakable improves voice-search citation likelihood.
Voice engines tend to prefer pages with explicit Speakable markers when reading answers aloud.
Iron Pine's subindustry pages tag their direct-answer paragraphs with data-speakable so voice engines can read them as the authoritative response.
Voice Search
Search queries conducted by speaking instead of typing, through Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa, ChatGPT voice, or similar interfaces.
Schema Markup (Structured Data, JSON-LD)
Code added to a website that explicitly tells search engines and AI engines what the page is about.
FAQPage Schema
A type of schema markup that tells search engines a page contains a list of frequently asked questions and their answers.
